Silk or Freeze Dried Rose Petals for the Flower Girl to toss?
You'll want to use silk. Once you step on the freeze dried they crumble in to many tiny pieces and if you have a train of any kind on your gown they will become stuck in it. Also sometimes there are still color pigments that can be released when crushed - also getting in to and staining your gown.

Silk petals can be bought at many craft or wedding supply type stores. Try http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displ...
Reply:Especially if it is going to be inside a building, even moreso if they have carpet, use silk, freeze dried and fresh have been known to leave dye/color on the carpet you will spend hours scrubbing out so the church/building doesnt freak.

If it is outside, use freeze dried so they will dispose of themselves within nature.
Reply:silk
Reply:Silk. they'll maintain their shape and of course you can get them in any color.
Reply:any craft stores has many choices of silk petals to toss. It does not really matter. You know flower girls, they may toss just a few, none at all or dump the entire basket at once. Many a flower girls has left the guests with a chuckle or 2..Have fun enjoy your day
Reply:silk....b/c it's more real like w/out being real and it floats to the ground
Reply:sick people hate real flowers
Reply:Freeze or latex.

Silk roses can look amazing but once you take them apart the single artificial petals always look fake in pics for some reason no matter how good they are.

Perhaps use an alternative to petals since you don't like real flowers....lavendar, leaves, artifical snow, something like that.
Reply:Silk is better - less likely to stain or damage anything. Check out ebay - they have a lot of really hard to find colors at cheap prices.
Reply:Make sure you are allowed to drop petals. Many places don't allow it anymore because of the mess. Michaels sells silk rose petals in all colors and they are very pretty. The have the color and an iridiscent one in the package.
Reply:I've never heard of any one who actually hates flowers. I'm hoping you have allergies and not just a black heart.

In case you still care, freeze dried rose petals don't pollute as much as silk flowers in their creation. I feel I must warn you, however, they are from real flowers. If its any consolation, they're dead.
Reply:freeze dried rose petals might create a mess, they are very fragile. silk would be an easy clean up and i believe they sell some at Joanns or Micheals.
Reply:If you have an outdoor wedding, many places won't allow silk. I used freeze dried outside, and they didn't crumble into tiny pieces either. You just leave them in the bathroom when you shower and they soften up before you use them. I just googled freeze dried petals and came up with tons of sites.
Reply:Hmmmm heres a thought. RUN! marriage is for people who live in the world of the sugarplum fairy. Hes probably banging the maid of honor. We just hurt each other not helpsuper nanny
