How do I get rid of a Vinegar/Flower Smell?

Ok so I read on yahoo answers to use vinegar on cat urine to make the smell go away. So I sprayed it all over the carpet in my room (not sure where the dang cat peed) 30 min later I went up and sprinkled flowery baking soda stuff on the carpet and vacuumed...


Well now it smells like vinegar and flowers, it isnt very plesant. What can I get that will take away all the smell?





And does anyone have suggestions for future cleansing of cat urine, in carpet, in case it doesnt work, or he does it again

The vinegar smell will just dissipate pretty quickly (within a couple of hours), not sure about the flower smell. I've never tried vinegar on a carpet though - usually use "natures miracle".
Reply:your on the net...so..just look up pet odour spraysyou will need agood one thoughalot are rubbish and do nothing...also never use anything to clean area with amonnia in it as this will just make problem worse and attract kitty to reuse the area..good luck

Reply:i BELEIVE the vinegar odor will disapear when it drys usually ,as far as the baking soda i say just keep vaccum to get rid ot the baking soda. you can try some resolve carpet cleaner or the foam one it may do the trick............. in regards for future cleaning for urine or vomit USE CLUB SODA it is the best to clean anything on your carpet any kind of stains also if a dog or cat get a poop stain it will remove it too. .....Get a spray bottle and fill it and use it to spray on stain and let it sit for a few minutes use a clean cloth and go in motion in a circle gently (as not to rub into the carpet) AND PRESS WITH A CLEAN TOWEL AND IT WILL REMOVE THE STAIN. AND REPEAT WHEN NESSARY UNTILL STAIN IS GONE.. ..this is the best. ALWAYS KEEP this around and use to clean anything... I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR YEARS IT REALLY WORKS YOU WILL LOVE IT...
