Which flower is more expensive roses or tulips?

I love both roses and tulips...I'm trying to decide on wedding bouquets and i want to know, which in your opinion is prettier and which one is least expensive?
Which flower is more expensive roses or tulips?
The prices of roses/tulips depend on their varieties, so I can't say which is cheaper. See the example pictures below.

Wholesale prices of roses range from less than a quarter / stem (short stem, small bloom, low petal count, common color) to more than a few dollars / stem (long stem, big bloom, high petal count, award-winning color).

The same is true for tulips; from less than a quarter / stem to more than a few bucks / stem at wholesale.

So obviously, a bridal bouquet made of, say, two dozen roses (or tulips) can be as "cheap" as $40 (cost + labor + profit) or can be more than a couple of hundred bucks.

For this reason, most of us (florists) want to know how much a bride wants to spend for a particular wedding flower. We then figure out what kind of varieties of roses/tulips we can use within the budget.
Reply:My favorite flower is tulips but my florist said they would be out of season during the summer. I used mostly roses and lillies and I think roses are pretty cheap anyway. You can always do a combination if one of them is too expensive.
Reply:It depends when your wedding is! If it's after mid May tulips will be out of season, so roses would be a lot less expensive.

Roses are always classic and create a nice formal look.
Reply:~~Roses ~~
Reply:i dont know
Reply:Tulips are cheaper and look nice
Reply:tulips are my favourite flower, however I personally have chosen roses. It depends on the time of year you are getting married. You should speak to your florist. Good luck
Reply:I'm not sure about the price of them but I am aware that tulips don't last very long when in a bouquet, due to the heat etc.

I had ivory roses in mine and they lasted all day and night :)
Reply:Roses defiantly.
Reply:It depends on the season and the color which is cheaper. You'd want to ask your florist about it.

I prefer roses, but that's just my taste!
Reply:def. roses
Reply:Roses of course, but i prefer tulips.
Reply:Roses are probably one of the most inexpensive wedding flowers; unless it's in February
Reply:I believe that tulips are cheaper as long as they are in season. I personally prefer tulips if it is a simpler wedding or an outdoor wedding. I always found roses to be so unoriginal, but that is just my personal taste. I have seen beautiful things done with both roses and tulips, so I think if you were going for something more elegant and ornate, pick roses... something simpler and casual, pick tulips.

:-D
Reply:Roses are more expensive. Tulips are nice but keep in mind, they can be so much more amazingly delicate than roses.
Reply:Tulips are cheaper and I think they look nice.
Reply:Roses are more expensive. I'm using silk flowers due to allergies
Reply:Roses in lower quantities is more expensive

Tulips in higher quantities is more expensive

so for your wedding situation i'd go with Roses.make up
